About Tereza
About Tereza. I truly believe that counseling is not about “fixing” you—because you are not broken. It’s about guiding you back to your strengths, helping you navigate challenges, and equipping you with tools so that one day, you won’t need me anymore.
My name is Tereza. I am a FSP registered psychologist and a PhD candidate. I graduated from Master’s degree in psychology (MSc, 2018) in Czech and then continued my education as a CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) psychotherapist (2024). For 5 years, I have been working with students with mental health struggles and different diagnosis, such as anxiety, panic attacks, depression and personality disorder. Currently, I have my own practice, where I primarily work with students, young people between 18-35, and expats.
Areas of expertise
My areas of expertise include emotional regulation, anxiety and panic attacks, low self-esteem, panic attacks, motivation and procrastination. well as helping people find purpose in life. In my practice, I am using CBT methods, combined with ACT (Acceptance and Commitment therapy) and DBT (Dialectical-behavioural therapy) principles. I love to combine practical information with an evidence-based approaches. My goal is to be there for my client, create a safe and empathetic environment where you can be yourself. Step by step, we would uncover your abilities to deal with the facing problem, find your balance and bring back your confidence.
“That life is about daring greatly and seeking your own happiness, which can be found in little things.”
– Maxime
. . . genuinely believing
I am a huge dreamer, and I believe that every one of us can go through their dark days, moods or struggles. Sometimes we just need somebody who can help to direct us back to the right path or show us different way. Sometimes we need to go together for some time. I am genuinely believing that you are the expert on yourself, and I can be the expert in showing you how to navigate and work with your mental health struggles, including challenging emotions and though spirals, most of the times coming in the way of getting the things and life we strive to live.
One of my greatest passions is breaking down the stigma around mental health. During my early years as a psychologist, I repeatedly heard people express fear and shame about seeking therapy—many even asked me not to tell anyone they were seeing me. It became clear that something needed to change.
I love exploring the world in my free time—whether that’s hiking in the mountains, getting lost in a good book, or immersing myself in new cultures with a backpack on my shoulders, just like I help my clients navigate life’s challenges. I have a passion for painting, a deep appreciation for good coffee, and an undeniable love for long, leisurely brunches—because balance, connection, and little joys matter in life.
