About Lesia

About Lesia – My name is Lesia, and I am a psychologist (MSc, PhD). I received higher medical education as a psychologist and as a psychotherapist.

I define myself as a hard-working and compassionate individual who always strives to make a positive impact on the world around me. Despite facing challenges and setbacks, I always try to do not to lose sight of the optimistic outlook on life. My dedication to the well-being of others is unwavering, and I go beyond my possibilities to ensure that everyone around me is taken care of.

Areas of expertise

In the past, I have worked as a neuropsychologist in medical institutions (2008). I have extensive experience in individual and group counselling. My main work direction is psychoanalytically-oriented psychotherapy. This is a form of psychotherapy that is based on the principles of psychoanalysis. This is a psychological theory and therapeutic approach developed by Sigmund Freud. This approach emphasizes the role of unconscious thoughts and emotions in shaping human behavior and experience.

Moreover, I help the clients to explore and understand the unconscious thoughts, feelings, and motivations that may be driving their current struggles or problems. Through a process of free association and interpretation, I can help you to uncover the unconscious conflicts and unresolved experiences that are contributing to your distress.

I have worked with many different patients, such as oncological patients, their relatives, people with severe and chronic diseases. However, I also consult and offer help with more common complaints like anxiety disorders, phobias and panic attacks.

Out of your vulnerabilities will come your strength.

– Sigmund Freud

As part of my experties, I help the clients achieve greater self-awareness and insight, which can lead to lasting changes in their behavior, emotions, and relationships. The approach that I use often involves long-term therapy, as the process of uncovering and working through unconscious material can be complex and time-consuming. But I never give up on my clients, do not give up on me!

Education

I obtained a medical degree at the Bogomolets National Medical University in Ukraine. Afterwards, I received Psychological training in the Psychoneurological department in Ukraine. Lastly, I provided psychological care for children, adolescents and their families as my specialization.
