About Oksana

About Oksana – I bring my extensive expertise to my work with expatriates and international families. I support clients dealing with stress, trauma, cultural adjustment, family transitions, and women’s health, as well as professionals seeking to prevent burnout, improve communication, strengthen management skills, achieve career growth, and find a healthier balance between work and personal life.

I’m a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist with over 16 years of experience supporting people through life’s most challenging and transformative moments. For 14 years, I worked at a regional hospital, including the rehabilitation and intensive care departments, where I supported military and civilian patients coping with trauma and critical illness. I also provided psychological care to families and medical staff facing the death of patients, alongside helping women and couples.

I strive to create a warm, non-judgmental, and collaborative space where clients can reconnect with their inner resources for healing and growth. I believe that even in the most difficult times, we carry the strength to move forward.

Later, I worked with international organizations including the ICRC, UNHCR, and ITU in Geneva, providing counseling, resilience support, and guidance to staff working in high-pressure and crisis environments. These experiences taught me the importance of empathy, cultural sensitivity, and adaptability when supporting people from diverse backgrounds. I work fluently in English, Ukrainian, and Russian.

“In the middle of difficulty lies potential for transformation” — this phrase reflects my therapeutic approach and personal belief that even in our hardest moments, we hold the power to grow, heal, and rediscover ourselves.

I believe every person has inner resources for healing and growth, and I help clients reconnect with them in a safe and supportive space.

Beyond my professional life, I deeply value activities that help me stay grounded and energized. I enjoy sports and staying physically active—it helps me maintain both mental clarity and emotional balance. Nature is another important source of renewal for me. Whether it’s hiking in the mountains, walking in the forest, or simply spending time outdoors, I find that being in nature restores my sense of calm and connection.

Travel is one of my greatest passions. I love exploring new places, learning about different cultures, and meeting people from all walks of life. These experiences enrich my perspective and continually remind me of the beauty of human diversity.

Animals also hold a special place in my heart. I believe in the healing power of connection with animals, and I often find that their presence brings a sense of comfort, calm, and unconditional acceptance.

These interests not only bring me joy, but also help me stay present and resilient—qualities I strive to bring into my work with clients every day.

I’m deeply curious about people and their inner worlds. I believe in kindness, authenticity, and the strength of the human spirit. Life has taught me to value resilience, but also gentleness — both with ourselves and with others.
